WINNERS
Argentina. They are the form team going into the tournament and not only is Messi on form, but Lautaro Martinez has a good connection with the GOAT and is a massive threat. An outside bet for the golden boot.
GOLDEN SHOE
Harry Kane. On fine form for Spurs, England's talisman will be looking to carry that form into the tournament. If he can start quicker than he did at the Euros I expect Harry to fire England to another final.
PLAYER OF THE TOURNAMENT
Leo Messi. Even if he's not the best player at the tournament, if Argentina wins it then he will get it. He is now settled in Paris and is back to his best so he will still be at his scintillating best.
YOUNG PLAYER OF THE TOURNAMENT
Jamal Musiala. Probably the best player in the Bundesliga at the moment. German hopes will be resting on this young man. Even though I dont see Germany making it past the quarter finals I expect Musiala to shine.
OVER ACHIEVERS
Morocco. With Hakimi and Ziyech in the team they are going to cause problems. Walid Regragui is a good young coach. Games against an ageing Croatia and inexperienced Canada, Morrocco could find themselves in the last 16.
UNDER ACHIEVERS
Portugal. On paper this is a ridiculous statement. I think it's similar to England's 'golden generation' loads of good players but playing in the wrong system. I think they will underwhelm but Ronaldo will make sure he scores a couple.
